Carlita Kilpatrick…..HBIC

I promised myself I wouldn’t, but after watching the video of Mayor (and I say this with every ounce of sarcasm that is in me) Kwame Kilpatrick’s sorry ass excuse of an apology to the citizens of Detroit earlier this afternoon………I just couldn’t help myself.

I could give a rat’s ass what he said……….honestly! The entire apology was orchestrated and animated for the most part. My focus was on his wife. In recent weeks this woman has been through hell and back. Constantly under a microscope. To have the most intimate details of her marriage drudged up again with new twists and turns has to be the most devestating.

Don’t think this post is about man bashing because this is not my intention. This post is about COMMON SENSE and knowing when to use it!

What really struck me was the quote ‘Yes, I am angry, I am hurt, and I am disappointed. But there is no question that I love my husband.” A woman like Carlita is not to be underestimated. Her whole demenour was that of a woman scorned. We all know that Kwame is feeling her wrath in private but tonight she strategically aimed her wrath towards Christine Beatty.

In so many words Carlita made the point to Christine that she (Carlita) will and always will be the Head Bitch In Charge! Sure, she may have stated that she loves her husband and that she made a commitment to God but that was a way of saving his sorry black ass from further humiliation. Until this blows over and she decides to file for divorce, or even if she doesn’t file for divorce………….she will still be the HBIC. What Carlita did tonight was send a silent but clear message (no pun intended) to Christine Beatty:

While you (Christine) were throwing your weight around the office, pulling rank, and fucking my husband; you were too stupid to realize that you were bought and paid for. What some women (not all) fail to realize is whether you want to admit it or not, (in a situation like this) a man can see his way through such scandal (ask Bill). He’s viewed as “just being a man” while the woman is viewed as being a homewrecker and a whore. She will have to carry that scarlet letter with her for the rest of her life. Not to mention a failed marriage, having to resign in humiliation, not knowing whether or not she would be able to continue law school, and possibly going to the clink for lying under oath. (damn, was the dick worth it?) I guess the nail in the coffin would be to see Kwame publically ask for his wife’s forgiveness and confessing his “new found” loyalty. (damn that gotta hurt Christine) If that wasn’t a slap in the face I don’t know what was. Whether she meant to or not, Carlita proved to Detroit and to Christine Beatty that no matter what happens with her marriage…….she is and will always remain the HBIC. I think that Christine is still marinating on that one!

Kwame is going to come out of this with his life still in tact. He will continue his life, whether it be Mayor of Detroit or in another field. Christine won’t be so lucky. Her life has been completly destroyed by this scandal. She won’t come out of this in the same way Kilpatrick will. (hate to say it but it’s true)

This is just to say that when you come into such a situation, you have to take in consideration the outcome. Was all of this worth losing your dignity and self respect? family? Career?

Was Kilpatrick really thinking about you at that moment? Do you honestly think that he has sympathy for you? HELL NO!

He doesn’t give a damn about you at this moment! To him; right now; your just a mere thought.

So Christine, was it worth the hassle?

Carlita is no dummy. Don’t think she didn’t know what Kwame and his Co-Ho was up to. I’m sure she addressed this to him on more than one occasion but drew tired and decided to let his ass hang himself…….. Mission accomplished.

Have We Really Come So Far?

In regards to race, I’m sorry to say that we have a lot more obsticles to cross. We are making progress but at a glacial pace. Dr. King’s message of racial harmony has yet to come into fruition the way he would have wanted. We still have a long way to go. His message is universal, not only meant for African Americans but for any race (such as the Native American Indians, who does not get the recognition that they are entitled and Jewish Americans)who sought out justice for the inhumane treatment and blood shed that was brought upon by predjudice.

I think that in the years since Dr. King’s assasination he has been viewed as the symbol of racial justice, but when asked to fully explain his (our) struggle and it’s complexity, we can’t go beyond “I have a dream”. This saddens me. Dr. King’s struggle goes above and beyond his most popular speech and this is what we should teach our children. We should teach them of the relationship he held with Mahatma Gandhi, Malcolm X, and his opposition towards the Vietnam war and the other causes he selfishly supported.

We are entering a new era and to honor Dr. King’s memory is sit down and educate our children (and ourselves) on the reality that hate (unfortunately) still exists and that the only way to fight it is through education and self awareness.

Dr. King began the struggle, it’s up to us to see it become a reality.

The Flood

Sending my emotions adrift
Wavering through seas of consciousness
Continent

Emphatic expressions leading to the edge
My insanity

Dwelling upon the ruins of my senses
Oddly I have six

Do I descend within the boundaries of a wall I have yet to build?
Do I gather stones?
Remnants of my past?

I build

A flood draws near
Stone by stone
Heavy is my burden
Light is my solace

The mortar is thinning
And still the flood draws near

My soul I fear is waning
Stripped and reposed

Of what is
Of what was

The flood vastly approaches

Still………I build

Amy Winehouse Replacement?

Ok, my devotion to Amy Winehouse is forever more, so I’ll waite until her crack headed ass gets her shit together! (Whenever that is) The girl has more talent than the law allows……and I say that literally.

Amy, my dear sweet Amy, Momma’s gonna have to show you some tuff love dear. No one can replace that beautiful voice of yours. You are fuckin up legendary! Momma has found a new British musician to shower her praises upon. While festering in your crack endused little world, you have let a new artist slip right by you.

So, Amy I’m gonna have to let you go for the moment. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll continue to listen to Back to Black and Frank as I always have. I’ll give you some space to get back into the swing of things. I still have mad love for you, but your actions are getting to be a little more than I bare to witness.

So Amy let me introduce Adele:

Robert Frost home in Vermont vandalized

Filed under: We Can Do Better

First let me say this: When they find you little cock sucking mother fuckers I hope that they prosecute your little asses to the fullest extent!!!

What was that all about you ask? Robert Frost is my favorite poet, may he rest in peace and to have some little punks vandalize his former home, a place where he wrote some of his most significant works of poetry…………..PISSES ME OFF!! All for a goddamn party.

Please commence to reading:

RIPTON, Vt. - A former home of the late poet Robert Frost has been vandalized, with intruders destroying dozens of items and setting fire to furniture in what police say was an underage-drinking party.

Homer Noble Farm was ransacked late Friday night during a party attended by as many as 50 people, Sgt. Lee Hodsden said Monday.

The intruders broke a window to get into the two-story wood frame building — a furnished residence open in the summer — before destroying tables and chairs, pictures, windows, light fixtures, and dishes. Wicker furniture and dressers were smashed and thrown into a fireplace and burned, apparently to provide heat in the unheated building, he said.

Empty beer bottles and cans, plastic cups, and cellophane apparently used to hold marijuana were also found, according to Hodsden. The vandals vomited in the living room and discharged two fire extinguishers inside the building, on a dead-end road off Route 125.

A cabin on the property where Frost is said to have done some of his writing was untouched.

No arrests have been made, Hodsden said, adding that they’ve tracked down some partygoers and believe they are minors.

The damage was discovered Saturday by a hiker who notified police at Middlebury College, which maintains the site. The property’s caretaker was last there at 10 a.m. Friday, police said.

Frost, a celebrated New England poet known for such verse as “The Road Not Taken” and “The Gift Outright,” died in 1963. He summered at the home from 1939 to 1963.

I hope that they catch the little sonsofbitches!
